FOX Isolated Technology
Air and oil do mix, and in the world of suspension, it degrades performance. Our isolation technology employs a bladder system that simply keeps the oil and air from mixing to provide optimal performance on your twenty niner mountain bike in all riding extremes.
We worked with FOX sponsored athletes to test the system and fine tune the damping. The first production FIT dampers were produced in the 2005 model year in our 40 RC2 and 36 TALAS RC2 models.
Since then, we’ve utilized the single wall expanding bladder and inverted damper technology originally found in our 29er 32 RLC and RL dampers, created an RLC damper for our 36 160 line, and developed the 36 180 RC2 damper.

Don’t sacrifice performance on your twenty niner by going with a pinner skewer. We teamed up with Shimano to create an axle that is extremely light and stiff, in a tool-free design. You’ll gain a ton of confidence on your twenty niner mountain bike when you’re deep in the rocks, roots, and ruts.
