Designed and manufactured with a perfected refinement of the geometry and exacting tuned front and rear suspension, the 2013 Kona Hei Hei aluminum 29er mountain bikes feature the incredibly light-weight, very strong but yet smooth ride characteristics. It was designed with a Kona Scandium 6069 Alloy frame and set up with a drive-train and components package that will not break down the bank account. And new as well for 2013, they completely changed up the rear triangle to end up with a much improved rear tire clearance, and an increase in stiffness as well with shorter chain-stays at 444 millimeters. The Kona Hei Hei scandium comes with a chain-stay direct mount front derailleur, and new and improved cable routing. This Scandium 29er is identical to the same mtb frame the Kona Team racers Wicks and Sneddon utilized to take their Canadian double down wins at both the infamous TransRockies and the BC Bike Races.
