Carbon Zip Back Tri Suit
The TYR crew know all to well about shaving precious time from your race-day efforts. As the Men’s TYR Carbon setup provides streamlined support, a smooth-fitting design, and transitional ease. This TYR garment is ITU compliant for peace of mind on race day.
Carbon Woven fabric cools your body by pulling perspiration off your skin during intense aerobic activity. Not only does this suit properly regulate your body temperature, but it also increases breathing efficiency when you’re pushing physical limits. Also the Carbon is hydrophobic, meaning it sheds moisture immediately after leaving the water, so you’re not a soaking mess through the bike and run stages. And to reduce drag in all the Tri stages, the Carbon’s smooth bonded seams ensure a slippery aero profile.
The TYR Flash Dry insert offers more padding than your swimsuit, yet it’s not overly bulky when you’re swimming and running. Flash Dry won’t soak up excess moisture, ensuring a comfortably dry feel in the saddle.
Rounding things out for the Carbon, are a silicone bead gripper that holds the hems in place, without irritating sensitive skin. Other race-savvy Tri details include a 12-inch rear zipper with removable lanyard and UPF 50+ for excellent UV protection.

Padded Carbon Front Zip Tri Suit
TYR ensures to keep you confident during all three triathlon stages, as the TYR Carbon Men’s wetsuit provides streamlined support, a smooth-wearing fit, and transition ease. This TYR setup is ITU compliant for peace of mind on race day. Carbon Woven fabric cools your body by pulling perspiration off your skin during intense aerobic activity.
Not only does this Carbon garment properly regulate your body temperature, by unzipping it’s front, but it also increases breathing efficiency when you’re pushing your personal limits. The Carbon is also hydrophobic, meaning it sheds moisture immediately after leaving the water, so you’re not a soaking-wet mess through the bike and run stages. And to reduce drag, smooth bonded seams deliver the ultimate in go-fast efficiency.
The TYR setup offers more padding than a swim suit, yet avoiding the bulk of traditional bike shorts, the Amp Padded feature softens saddle pressure without being a hindrance in the other stages. Its triple-density foam is incredibly soft and features multi-directional stretch for freedom when you’re swimming and running.

Men’s TYR Triathlon Apparel
TYR has begun filling the even-numbered gaps in its Hurricane line. The first example is the Hurricane Cat2 Fullsuit, which begins with the Cat1’s superbly affordable entry-level features and adds a few additional elements to the mix. The addition of TYR’s 360° Core Stabilization alone may make the Cat2 the best fullsuit value in the industry.
We put a lot of stock in the Hurricane’s 360° Core Stabilization System because it performs a service that you’ll find indispensable. It uses five panels in the Hurricane to provide compressive support to your key muscle groups, which reduces long-term fatigue, improves blood circulation, and promotes optimal posture in the water. It also adds an additional element of buoyancy so you can focus on moving forward, not staying afloat.
Like its sister offerings, the Cat2’s shoulders incorporate TYR’s Free R.O.M. (Range of Motion) Zone design, which eliminates restriction in the shoulder for long-reaching swimming motions. It also uses Speed Wrap Paneling on the legs and torso. Speed Wrap’s lightweight 5mm Yamamoto Nano neoprene means more nitrogen bubbles per square inch for more buoyancy. The TYR panels are also SCS (Super Composite Skin) Coated, so they not only increase buoyancy, but they also reduce drag.
The rest of the Hurricane suit is made from durable, drag reducing, and unrestrictive Slick Skin Neoprene, which keeps the price low without sacrificing valuable seconds during your event’s first leg. While the wrist cuffs are designed on this Hurricane to stretch in multiple directions, so they’re also unrestrictive while preventing flushing. When you get to T1, the ankle cuffs are tapered to catch your shins, allowing the fullsuit to peel inside-out for quick removal.
Material Employed on this model of Hurricane:
[legs, chest, core] Yamamoto SCS coated neoprene, [forearms] Alpha Catch Panels, [chest and core] elevation panels
